Angels

Mother’s Day always brings mixed emotions. As a mom of three precious children, my heart overflows with gratitude. As a daughter, I especially miss my mom in Heaven this time of year – the sweetness of her soul, the genuine kindness she sprinkled on everyone she touched, the gentle way she listened as much as she imparted wisdom.

Even in missing her, I also smile when I remember that she’s one of countless angels on my side. I know my mom is still looking out for me, whispering peace when worry tries to settle in, blocking trouble from invading my path, and nudging me toward grace when I’m tempted to give in to fear.

How can I say this with confidence? Scripture reminds me:

That promise reminds me that Heaven’s help is never far away. Even when life feels uncertain, I can rest knowing God’s protection is constant. Sometimes unseen, but always at work. And I trust that my mom’s love is right in the middle of it all.

If you still need convincing, listen to Richard Smallwood’s Angels.* It’s a reminder that the same God who sends angels to guard us also holds us steady through every hard moment, uncertainty, and storm.

I would love to hear from you. Your words may comfort someone who needs it.

Your Turn to Reflect:
Who is someone in Heaven whose love still encourages you today?

* As always, I do not own the rights to this song. I just love it so much that it’s at the top of my daily inspo playlist.
