Feeling hard-pressed or stressed? Same.
Life has required roller blades lately. And mostly for lovely moments.
Ten college applications are now submitted for our high school senior (and to clarify – 10 applications that required at least twice that number of essays).
We’ve shown up for loved ones and friends when needed.
We voted early and witnessed our college applicant vote for the first time — an extra-special moment because his grandfather was a voting precinct worker and witnessed it, too.
A lot of good has taken place over the last couple of weeks. And, our hearts are grateful.
A bunch of shenanigans have also taken up space and energy.
Political ads and speeches are downright mean and triggering.
Strangers are throwing microaggressions as a result.
And, still other strangers are throwing in-your-face aggressions for the same reason.
The shenanigans have been a LOT.
But, all of that “a lot” doesn’t have the last word.
I know and trust Who’s still waking up the sun and tucking in the moon. I know and trust Who’s still breathing breath into my body, lavishing me in new mercies each morning. And I know and trust Who’s still in control, even when it doesn’t appear that way to our human eyes.
Let’s know and trust we’re still in Good Hands, y’all.
And let’s do our part to spread a little Heaven here on Earth by embracing peace and extending it to others. God knows, we all need it now more than ever.
